A Typical Day at The Education Station Academy
A daily schedule gives children the stability and security they need early on in life. That's why we strive to provide a stable framework that adds structure to our daily lives but also leaves plenty of room for spontaneous and additional activities.
6:30-8:30 |
Arrival |
Children participate in quiet activities set out on tables, such as puzzles, read books, drawing, computer, or listen to music until all are ready for the next activity. |
8:30-8:45 |
Circle Time |
Teacher brings the group together for calendar, discussion of the day’s activities, planning work time and sharing. |
8:45-9:00 |
Snack |
Children sit at tables and have prepared snack. |
9:00-10:15 |
Centers & Teacher Directed Activity |
Children choose from activities in the interest areas as teacher is working with children insmall groups of reading readiness and or math. |
10:15-10:30 |
Clean-up |
Toys and materials are put away to get ready for bathroom and outside. |
10:30-11:00 |
Outside Time |
A variety of activities are available after the teacher directed activity. |
11:00-11:30 |
Enrichment Programs |
Spanish, Library, Bible Class and Character Development, are rotated through the classes during the day. |
11:30-11:45 |
Clean-up for lunch |
Bathroom and wash hands then help set the table for lunch |
11:45-12:15 |
Lunch |
Children eat a hot balanced meal and then bathroom and ready for story time |
12:15-12:30 |
Story Time |
Children lay on cots as teacher reads a story. |
12:30-2:30 |
Nap Time |
Children lay on cots and nap or rest quietly as they listen to music. |
2:30-3:00 |
Snack |
Children put away cots, bathroom and have snack. |
3:00-3:30 |
Outside Time |
A variety of activities are available after the teacher directed activity. |

Art |
Teacher works with small groups of children doing an art project while others are in centers |

Center Time |
While teacher is working with small groups for art others are in centers. |
4:45-5:15 |
Clean-up |
As children put materials away, teacher and children gather them for story time. |

Story time |
Teacher reads to children. |

Table Top Activities |
Children do quite table top activities. As they leave, activities are put away. |
